Dr. Amy Hunt
Dr. Amy Hunt is a native of Vero Beach, Florida. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the UNC School of Dentistry in 1991 and currently serves on the board of directors for the UNC Alumni Association. She has served as president of the Fifth District Dental Society and volunteers regularly to treat patients through the Donated Dental Services program.
Dr. Amy’s passion for continuing education and lifelong learning led her and Dr. Richard to participate in thousands of hours of advanced continuing education. Her goal is to create a dental practice committed to personalized care. She has completed the rigorous curriculum at two prestigious institutions – The Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education and the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Education. Dr. Hunt is also an active member of the American Dental Association.
She and Dr. Richard are members of numerous professional organizations. The Hunts have received the rare distinction of being invited to be Fellows in the prestigious American and International Colleges of Dentistry. Along with this special recognition and honor is the tremendous responsibility to live and practice according to the highest standards in their profession, something that ultimately has enormous benefit for the patients they are privileged to serve.
The Hunts have lived and practiced in the Rocky Mount community since 1989. Richard and Amy are active in their church and several civic organizations. They have led two mission trips to Mexico where they provided care to impoverished and underserved children and adults.
Together with Dr. Richard Hunt, Amy enjoys the outdoors, traveling, cooking and spending time with their three children – Caroline, Richard and Charlotte.
